OUR FOUNDATION
Statement of Faith
The beliefs that shape the spiritual life and educational mission of Astatula Christian School.
- The Bible is inspired by God and is therefore our ultimate and final authority for all matters of faith and practice.
- We believe that there is one God eternally existent in the persons of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ who took on human flesh, lived a sinless life, was crucified, buried and rose again, who ascended back to heaven to make intercession for us, and who will return in power and glory.
- We believe all men are sinful by nature and are in need of God’s salvation.
- We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for forgiveness of sins and salvation, which is the free gift of God’s grace. Salvation is effected by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit and cannot be secured by man’s works or personal merit. Salvation is only appropriated by a person placing his faith in the finished work of Christ.
- We believe that the child of God has been given a new nature at the time of salvation and is enabled to live a Godly life only by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
- We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female.
- Biblical marriage consists only of a faithful, heterosexual union between one genetic male and one genetic female, and biblical marriage is the only legitimate and acceptable context for a sexual relationship.
