Who is Jesus?
Here at Astatula Christian School, we want you to know the answers to life’s greatest questions.
The single most important question that you will ever answer is this: “If I were to die today, would I spend eternity in Heaven with God?” Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer.
The Bible tells us in 1 John 5:13 that those who believe on the name of the Son of God may know that they have eternal life.
1. Recognize your condition
Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Sin separates us from God, and Romans 6:23 teaches that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2. Religion and good works are not the answer
Human systems cannot bridge the gap created by sin. Ephesians 2:8–9 teaches that salvation is by grace through faith, the gift of God, and not the result of works.
3. Jesus Christ provides the way
God sent His Son to die on the cross and rise from the dead. John 3:16 explains that God loved the world and gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, salvation is provided by grace.
4. Believe and receive Christ
To have a relationship with God and an eternal home in Heaven, we must stop trusting ourselves, our works, and our religions, and place our trust in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sin and eternal life. Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
